Web Design in Daventry
We're lucky to be based right at the heart of England in Weedon just four miles from Daventry. Daventry is very old and is sometimes also known as Danetre because of its history which dates back to the anchient Britons, there's even one of the oldest remains of an Iron Age fort on a hill overlooking the town.
During the English Civil War, the army of King Charles I stayed at Daventry in 1645 after storming the Parliamentary garrison at Leicester. He was on his way to relieve the siege of Oxford. Daventry was also a coach stop for travellers between London and Birmingham.
The market square at the centre of the town reflects the long tradition of commerce here which now includes a major Ford warehouse presence and one of the best equipped re-cycling centres in the country.
Daventry has a strong 'small and medium business' presence too, there are numerous services and trades in the town and in the near-by trading estates (The Ford Parts Warehous is in Royal Oak Industrial Estate).
