Web Design in Weedon Bec
We're lucky to be based right at the heart of England in Weedon Bec, a village pre-dating the Norman Invasion! Weedon Bec is right on Wattling Street, that's better known these days as the A5 which itself is a Roman road.
Weedon is a sort of "Goldielocks" place, not too big, not too small and is surrounded by rural countryside just a few miles from Daventry. It has excellent connections too, the A5 alone is a great highway but just three miles away, through the villages of Flore and Upper Heyford we have the M1 motorway so getting to London or Birmingham is pretty easy! Our nearest large town is Northampton with Rugby and Milton Keynes pretty close too.
Weedon has a strong 'small business' presence, there are numerous antique shops, clothing, a vinyl and even a surf board shop in the village. Of course, there are many more business' based here who dont need a 'shop front' - just a great web site. That's when Famous Websites is pleased to help our neibours get the most from exciting on-line opportunities with our web design and development.
More about our village...
Weedon is where the actor Leo Carroll lived, you might remember him as Mr Waverly in the TV series 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E' - Weedon is also where George III planed to escape Nepoleon IF he invaded England, we had Royal Pavillions here up until the 1970's. They also built a large complex for storing arms and explosives which is still here.
There's more, this is where the British War Time Government tested the earliest versions of RADAR in World War II and the Georgian/Nepolionic fort I mentioned, that was used to store the arms and provisions for the D-Day Landing forces.
